Will Artino claims Basketball Champions League Asia Hoops Agents weekly honour

Experienced American-Taiwanese Will Artino (211-C/F-1992) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Taoyuan Pilots and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 33-year old had a double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds, while his team edged out South China (#3, 1-2) 79-76. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Pilots to jump to the first place in the Basketball Champions League Asia. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Pilots won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Artino turned to be Pilots' top player in his first season with the team. Creighton University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Artino is in league's top in points (6th best: 22.0ppg), assists (2nd best: 7.0apg) and averages solid 3.0bpg and 55.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Kyvon Davenport (203-F-1997, agency: BIG) of South China. Davenport impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as South China was edged by Xac Broncos (1-0) 86-84. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Davenport is a newcomer at South China and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.3ppg (#8). He also registered 8.3 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Jayden Gardner (201-F-2000, agency: MSG) of New Taipei Kings (#4). Gardner got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds . Despite Gardner's great performance the Kings lost 82-103 to #3 ranked South China. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The season just started for Gardner as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

10. Setric Millner Jr. (198-F-2000) of Pilots - 14 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
